Long Horse Bridge & Cloud Trail Ride
About this Event
Mostly on cycle and tow paths, we'll aim to check out Long Horse Bridge, the Cloud Trail and Route 6.
This is a ride for the reasonably active rider or if you've been on one of our previous rides. Sociable pace and no one gets left behind. Most of the route is very easy going but there will be a short section of unvetted canal towpath (Shardlow - Cloud Trail junction).
Will stop at Elvaston castle for a food/comfort break (BYO if you like).
Route back is 95 % NCN Route 6 but note 600 metres of pavement will be used along the Chilwell section due to bad infra & unsafe roads.
Option of further refreshments at the ride's end: the Bird Hide Attenborough 😊.
