Long form improv is a performance style where actors create extended scenes using minimal prompts—everything is made up on the spot, driven by imagination, connection, and trust between performers.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the core skills that make long form improv successful:
✨ Embracing the principle of "Yes, and…" – learning to accept and build on your scene partner’s ideas
✨ Establishing a clear base reality – defining the who, what, and where of a scene
✨ Exploring character relationships – understanding how characters feel about each other and why it matters
We’ll practice these skills through games and guided exercises, and then support each other in creating fully improvised scenes together.
