LONG BUCKBY TRAIL (with Festival Fun) | 8 MILES | NORTHAMPTON
About this Event
🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾
Starting from Long Buckby Rugby Club, the walk heads south across the fields to Whilton.
The route enters Whilton via the churchyard where there is a tribute to Harry Reynolds VC. Harry Reynolds was a Whilton man who served in the First World War where he won the Military Cross at the Battle of Arras, and the Victoria Cross for valour at the Battle of Passchendaele.
The route then heads south east to Little Brington, before turning north and looping back to Long Buckby. Most of the walk is across farmland with good views across Northamptonshire.
🎤 One of our members, Sandie, is singing at the Long Buckby Festival. So after the walk, if people want to join us, we are going to stay to join in with the festival and listen to Sandie. A perfect end to a bank holiday weekend! Click here for more info about the festival.
❓ ROUND-ROBIN QUESTION: If someone gave you a free ticket to Glastonbury next year, would you go?
