Friday the 20th For those who want to meet for dinner, meet at the Crab Pot at 6:00. Location; 215 N Marina Dr, Long Beach, CA 90803
Saturday the 21st, day sail to the Queen Mary. If 3-hour guest doc is available at Rainbow Harbor, eat lunch at Shenanigans Irish Pub & Grill. If not (guest doc can be busy on weekends), have lunch in the shadow of the Queen Mar, by drifting around.
In the evening Burgee Exchange and barbeque at the Long Beach Navy Yacht Club (LBNYC) starting at 6:30. Location; 223 N. Marina Drive, Long Beach, California 90803
Sunday the 22nd 10:30 Sail south along the coast to Huntington beach. About 5:00 meet up for food and beer at Ballast Point brewery in Alamitos Bay. There is a 3-hour guest doc in front or walking distance from the docs. Location; 110 N Marina Dr, Long Beach, CA 90803-4601
As for overnight slip spaces:
We can we get the group in one area. The preferred is Basin 1. Guest slips can be reserve up to 30 days in advanced. So please make your reservation early. They only use end ties for guests. When calling the office, (562) 570-3215, ask for Carson and mention you are with the Potter Yachters and the dates. She will try and put 4 of us on each end docs. Carson works Monday through Friday. If you cannot get into Basin 1. Basin 2 at the South end is your second-best choice.
GUEST RATES NIGHTLY $ 1.52/FT PER NIGHT. Vessels must be currently registered and have current insurance with a minimum of $300,000 liability coverage. The reservation must be in the registered owner’s name.
Guest reservations are not finalized until paperwork and payment are received by the marina office. Credit card or cash payments are accepted. Guests who wish to extend their stay beyond the original reservation must contact the marina office to confirm availability and to pay no later than 12:00 PM (check out time) of the departure day. Failure to make such arrangements are classified as “overstays” which are subject to an additional fee.
Parking for two vehicles in the marina is available to guests at no additional charge – except for holidays and designated special events when parking passes may not be issued. Parking passes are available at the marina office. Guests must provide the vehicle license plate number for the parking pass, and the pass must always be displayed on the vehicle.
Restroom keys may be purchased at the office with a deposit. Shoreline Marina guests have the option of purchasing a less expensive, non-refundable key fob.
$100 deposit for Bathroom key.

Launching:
Davies Launch Ramp: $13.00 per-day to launch and park. Can put in multiple days parking. Payment is by machine. It accepts debit, Visa, or MasterCard credit cards. No Cash.
The facility is open 24 hours and allows for overnight parking. There is a coin operated wash down station. There is a guest doc but no finger docs. There is a bridge you must sail under, the height of the Bridge is 30’. Location; 6204 East Marina Drive, Long Beach, Ca 90803
Other Information:
This is a large mixed use shipping harbor and recreational area. Be aware of swimmers, paddle boarders, kids learning to sail, races, working boats (tugs, barrages, ships). Assume others may not know the rules of the road, so be patient and friendly.
There are two 3 hours guest docs. One is at Ballast Point (good for afternoon beer and bar food) and the other at Schooner or Later (good for breakfast and lunch). Both are also walking distance from the recommended guest slips.
There are lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Many within walking distance of the guest slips.
Expect to 2mile motor into the wind each day to get out of Alamitos Bay and into the open harbor for sailing.
