London Location Lighting Workshop!
About this Event
We are thrilled to be returning to London for another 2-Day photography workshop!
- Belt Craft Studios (both indoors and outdoors, working with natural light and flash)
- Create elevated, environmental portraiture
- Update your portfolio and work with experienced, professional models
- Pizza dinner, drinks, and picture review at the studio after Day 1
- We have a limited number of spots available to ensure a good model to photographer ratio
- Join us for a fun couple of days during one of the best times of year to be in London!
Agenda
🕑: 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Day 1
Info: Introduction and welcome from Joe McNally and the workshop team, plus a meet and greet for all the photographers. The lighting equipment available to all photographers will also be on display.
🕑: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
#1 Session - Morning
Info: We begin the first session with a brief, informative demonstration as Joe photographs one of the models, and then the class disperses to begin photographing multiple talent. The emphasis of this workshop is photographing talent in real-time, and crafting solutions at the camera.

Lunch at Belt Craft Studios

#2 Session Afternoon
Info: We build on the morning session with our talent and different lighting scenarios, then rotate into more complex demonstrations with multiple strobes and possibly gels. Joe and the team will provide an ongoing Q&A of location assessment and lighting.
🕑: 04:15 PM - 05:30 PM
Picture Review + Pizza + Drinks!
Info: Once our talent departs for the day, we will re-group and then enjoy some pizza and drinks in the studio while Joe does a quick review session and looks at a sampling of the photos from the day. This Q&A session will allow an opportunity to assess successes and failures, and establish goals for Day 2.

Day 2
Info: The second day begins with a quick Q&A round up to answer all technical and aesthetic questions to ensure success before kicking off the model sessions.

#1 Session - Morning
Info: Photographers can build on what they tried the previous day and/or try something new in the model rotation throughout the studio.

#2 Session - Afternoon
Info: We accelerate into the afternoon to really address camera technique and lighting approaches.

Workshop Wrap-Up
Info: Wrap-Up and Q&A session to share how the lessons taught can be applied to each photographer's own style and intent going forward.
