Help logan and his family take a bit of pressure off, the stress of what's happening to him and his family.
Logan is 8 years old and has received terrible news and is now on a long road to fight off cancer. Bit of a story time to what’s happened with Logan.
Logan was initially took to hospital due to him complaining of rib pain and struggling to breathe, they done a chest xray and thought he had a severe chest infection so he got sent to the rvi newcastle in a ambulance. They where there and within 2 hours he was in theatre having a chest drain put in. The chest drain stopped working so they took it out and started him on a course of antibiotics hoping it would clear the rest of the infection but unfortunately it didn’t. He had multiple X-rays and ultrasound and on his last ultrasound they said he had a mass leaning against his spine and near his kidney, so he had a ct scan the day after. His mam and dad then got called into a room and that’s when they where told he had cancer. No one should ever have to hear that news about there kids. He had a biopsy the day after his ct scan to determine what cancer he had what treatment he needs going forward and then he was let home while they waited on the results. They went back to the hospital the next day and were told he had Ewing’s sarcoma (bone cancer) a rare cancer. It has spread to his right lung and the tumour is on his spine, he’s going to need extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy and even a possible operation afterwards. He starts his chemotherapy Friday 14th march when he gets his PICC line in,
His mam and dad have had to take time off work whilst dad looking after his 3 young siblings. mams driving forward and backwards to Newcastle hospital whist dad is looking after the other children at home. please donate as much or as little as possible to help them get buy paying bills and towards fuel ect
