Jonathan "Lockjaw" Lorentz plays his first show in Greenfield since moving to the area! A veteran professional jazz saxophonist (with performance credits ranging from the Lillypad in Cambridge to the Blue Note NYC) Jon “Lockjaw” Lorentz is post-Coltrane improviser who has shared stages with jazz luminaries Ken Peplowski, Delfeayo Marsalis, Gabe Jarrett, Jason Palmer, Judi Silvano, Harry Allen, Ralph Lalama, Yoron Israel, Bob Gullotti, John Lockwood, Lenny Pickett, Frank Foster and many others. Lorentz has deep roots in the jazz and blues tradition, and he improvises with a hard-bop intensity that is adventurous, liberating and at times, full of risk.
