Olivia Basar
Olivia Elizabeth Basar is an indie singer/songwriter based in the Harrisburg, PA area. She debuted her first single in 2023, with her music being best known for its confessional lyrics that blend elements of 90s/early 2000s indie rock with hints of pop and folk music influences. Her song “Back Where I Was” was featured on SiriusXM’s Kelly Ogden Show in their new artist spotlight, and her music has also been featured on Philadelphia’s WXPN radio. In addition, she has received nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Artist at the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards.
Same Each
Amelia Chick is a generalist artist based in Philadelphia, PA. As a musician and improviser, they create under the name Same Each, a project often compared with lyrically-driven artists such as AJJ, The Mountain Goats, and Bright Eyes. Same Each also explores the sonic realm, incorporating effects and ambient soundscapes.
Matt Tarka
Matt Tarka is a singer/songwriter based in Lancaster County, PA. After picking up a bass guitar when he was fifteen, he has since aimed to share personal and fictional stories with a guitar and voice. Listeners to his music will sense his propensity for “alt-Americana” music, his incipient love for bands like REM and Dinosaur Jr, and his voice which has the same signature stamp of star vocalists like Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie and James Mercer from the Shins. His music has also been featured in media outlets including Pennsylvania Musician, WRVV 97.3, WITF, Americana Highways, Relix, NPR's "Morning Edition," Country Fried Rock, The Big Takeover and more.
Alex Stanilla
The protagonists of Alex Stanilla’s songs live at the intersection of fact and fiction, the push and pull between introspective honesty and rich character study. “I’m really inspired by film,” the Lebanon, PA-based singer-songwriter says. “My lyrical style tends to take an impressionistic view of films, with the subtext of watching it through a different lens and using it to interpret my life.” There’s a refreshing level of self-awareness in Stanilla’s songs, from his 2017 LP/mixtape Qualia (later reissued in 2019) to a prolific 2020-2021 singles series. And while some minor details have at times been changed to protect the guilty – namely himself – an air of authenticity still permeates every note of his music. He plays all of those notes himself, on every instrument, equally inspired by the tenderness and inward turmoil of Elliott Smith, the eccentricity of synthy electro-pop, and the energy of underground bands like Chiodos, Circa Survive, and Dance Gavin Dance.
