LOCAL MATTERS is a non-partisan, three part municipal election series by Common Cause NC, Fayetteville Freedom For All, and Democracy NC. This series aims to empower voters to learn about the importance of municipal elections and the candidates running for office.
Part 1 of this series is a Town Hall and Candidate Sit-In held Thursday, August 14 at 6:30 PM at Crossroads Church (306 McArthur Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28311)! We’re kicking off the municipal election season with centering the voices and experiences of Fayetteville residents. The concerns and questions raised at this non-partisan town hall will be used to inform questions asked at our candidate forums. All candidates for Mayor and City Council have been invited to attend and listen to community concerns! The Primary Election Day is October 7 and the General Election is November 4.
