Spring Conference
About this Event

The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute’s 2026 Spring Conference, Local Leadership for a Healthier New Jersey for Everyone, will convene Quality Institute members alongside Local Health Champions including mayors, public health officials, volunteers, and community partners. Together, we’ll highlight the need for local efforts to build healthier communities and celebrate the work of the Mayors Wellness Campaign.

We’ll highlight how healthy communities require an “all policies approach” from budgeting, to housing, to safe streets, and more. And emphasize the importance of looking at local data to understand and address disparities across race, age, ethnicity, language, and cultures.

The conference will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC), a statewide initiative launched in 2006 in partnership with the New Jersey State League of Municipalities. Now active in more than 400 municipalities.

The conference will highlight MWC programs that we are most proud of including COYL and our work on Mental Health. We’ll share lessons learned over the campaign’s two decades and our future vision.

This event is for Quality Institute members and invited guests only.
