About this Event

There are plaques all around Brixton commemorating some of the incredible past residents: from the official English Heritage blue plaques to plaques installed by members of the community. All highlight the significant contribution that people have made to the local area and nationally: from activists and campaigners to scientists and artists. Join Bill Linskey of the the Brixton Society on a walk around Brixton to spot the plaques and hear more about the people they feature.

Brixton Society is an amenity society and charity. We aim to keep our walks free or low cost so they are open to as many people as possible. If you are able, please make a donation when you book or at the end of the walk on the day. This will help us to continue our work understanding the past and shaping the furure. All contributions, however small, are very much appreciated.
