A small hamlet situated between route 47 and route 202 bounded by the north on Pearl Street. The northern center of manufacturing in 1800 of four areas in town. Known for the world’s first manufacturing of pearl buttons. We will look at more than 170 years of this little hamlets history supported by the energy of Batchelor Brook. Buttons, metallurgy, fabric, forge, cloth, paper, broom handles and dye products came from Pearl City. Sponsored by the South Hadley Cultural Council.
