Beach cleanup + Lunch!
WRISE Los Angeles will join Heal The Bay's July beach clean-up! Help remove trash and debris before it washes out to the ocean, and keep our beaches "nothin' but sand". This monthly cleanup rotates location, and July's location is Redondo Beach (Southside of the Pier)
This event is part of WRISE Week, a dedicated effort every July that encourages every local WRISE chapter to plan an event and engage as many members of our community as possible. The 2026 theme is "WRISE Gives Back", and so WRISE Los Angeles decided to make a direct difference in an area we all love - our beautiful Southern California beaches, by supporting Heal The Bay.
What to Expect: This volunteer event is perfect for all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a seasoned environmental advocate, you’ll make a measurable impact in just a few hours.
What to Bring: Reusable water bottle, Sun protection, Comfortable, closed-toe shoes, Gloves and cleanup supplies (optional—Heal The Bay will provided while supplies last)
Where to Meet: Paid parking available in parking structure attached to Redondo Beach Pier. Heal The Bay will meet at the southside of the pier. More details will be sent to registered attendees the week before.
Please note: We are encouraging our WRISE community to sign up here with us on Eventbrite so we can communicate any logistics/optional lunch plans after the cleanup. However, .
We know our community finds networking at our events valuable. So after the cleanup ends at 12pm, our WRISE community members are encouraged to stay for an optional, casual lunch at , located 0.3 miles away from the pier. This is an opportunity to sit down, network, and connect with other members. Hope to see you there!
