Join us for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating our local author community! Come meet talented local writers to chat with authors about their work and inspiration, browse books across different genres for adults and children, and purchase signed copies directly from the authors.
Whether you're an avid reader, an aspiring writer, or wanting to offer support for our local writing community, Local Author Day offers something for everyone!
Author Applications
Due to growing interest and limited event space, participation is now determined through an application process. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
While all authors are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to authors who reside within 20 miles of Wichita city limits.

Application Deadline: Friday, July 10 at 10:00 p.m. CT
Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status via email by 8:00 p.m. CT, Wednesday, July 15. Authors who have not received a response by that date should contact the library.
