Lobster Mini Season

Lobster mini-season is a chance for recreational divers and snorkelers to catch lobster before the season opens for the commercial fisherman and restaurants.
This trip is during the week and is always the last Wednesday and Thursday in July.
We will dive with Oceans 8 Charters, and spend the night at the Hampton Inn in Boynton Beach.
We will spend the night on Tuesday, dive 4 dives on Wednesday, stay the night again, and dive 4 more dives on Thursday. That's 8 dives in 2 days!
Total allowable catch limit is 24 lobster per person for the 2 days.
Remember, you must have a current Saltwater Fishing license with a Lobster Stamp. It is required by law to have a lobster gauge in your possession while hunting for lobster.
You will need a way to catch them (snare, tickle stick, net), a way to measure lobster size, a bag to contain them, puncture proof gloves to protect your hands, and atleast 2 Nitrox tanks.

We personally bring 8 tanks for the trip.
You will need atleast tanks, then they
will need to be refilled after each dive
trip. Lobster Mini Season gets very busy
with lots of tanks. In the past, there
have been issues with tanks that were
not filled to 3000psi, nitrox tanks that
were filled with air. and tanks that were
not filled at all; to avoid these situations
the safest and smartest choice would
be to bring 8 tanks from home

There is a $65 discount for signing up
for the entire trip. ($40 dive discount
and $25 hotel discount).
$725 total trip Cost plus rentals.
$200 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot.
Trip can be broken up into partial dive/hotel days.
Hotel prices very based on Single Occupancy, Double Occupancy, type of room, and nights of stay.

Snorkelers and Bubble Watchers $125 per boat ride.
Hire a Professional Dive Guide/Lobster Whisperer for $350/day.
