LOBA POETRY SERIES
Monthly Poet Features & Open Mic
Saturday, July 18 at 3 PM
Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the third Saturdays of each month at 3 p.m. This free event is open to both teens and adults. All are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others. On Saturday, July 18, we welcome Carrie Hunter.
Hunter received her MFA/MA in the Poetics program at New College of California, was in the Black Radish Books publishing collective, and edited the chapbook press, ypolita press. Her most recent full-length collection of poems is “The Flow of the Poem's Display of Itself” (Roof Books, 2025). She also has books out with Nightboat and Black Radish Books. Her latest chapbook is “Eva (not Eve)”, which came out with Antiphony in early 2026. She lives in San Francisco and teaches ESL.

Únase al personal de la biblioteca de Ukiah mientras organizamos eventos de poesía en persona el tercer sábado de cada mes a las 3 p.m. Este evento gratuito está abierto para adolesentes y adultos: todos están invitados a compartir poemas en cualquier forma o estilo, o simplemente escuchar a otros. El sabado del 18 de julio, le damos la bienvenida ha Carrie Hunter.
Hunter obtuvo su MFA/MA en el programa de Poética del New College of California, formó parte del colectivo editorial Black Radish Books y dirigió la editorial de *chapbooks* ypolita press. Su colección de poemas de extensión completa más reciente es *The Flow of the Poem's Display of Itself* (Roof Books, 2025). También ha publicado libros con Nightboat y Black Radish Books. Su *chapbook* más reciente es *Eva (not Eve)*, publicado por Antiphony a principios de 2026. Reside en San Francisco y enseña inglés como segunda lengua (ESL).
