About this Event

Title: Safeguarding Service at Rainbow Centre, Alder Hey Hospital for Children

Dr Maw J. Tan: I have worked as a Consultant Community Paediatrician with interest in Neurodisability at Alder Hey Children’s hospital since 2008. I have also been working in the Rainbow Centre (Safeguarding Unit) at Alder Hey as part of my daytime and out of hours work. Prior to becoming a consultant, I spent 2.5 years doing an MD in the neurodevelopmental follow up of preterm infants, and also completed the registrar training programme in Paediatric Neurodisability in Liverpool. I have an interest in Paediatric education and am currently a College Tutor for Paediatrics and I facilitate on the Effective Education Supervision course. My other interests are walking and birdwatching.
