Lloyd “Hurricane” Munn – Live at Beethoven’s / Acme Pizza
Mississippi’s own Lloyd “Hurricane” Munn has spent decades entertaining audiences across the South with a unique blend of blues, classic rock, and the laid-back spirit of Jimmy Buffett.
A lifelong musician and harmonica player, Lloyd was inspired and mentored by the legendary Greg “Fingers” Taylor, longtime harmonica player for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band. That friendship helped shape Lloyd into one of the South’s premier Jimmy Buffett tribute artists.
Throughout his career, Lloyd has shared the stage with renowned musicians including Mac McAnally, Vasti Jackson, Guitar Shorty, Kenny Brown, Eden Brent, Jeff Healey, and members of the Coral Reefer Band. His shows are filled with great music, stories, humor, and the easygoing island vibe that Jimmy Buffett fans love.
His nickname, “Hurricane,” came during Hurricane Ivan in 2004, when six hours of evacuation traffic couldn’t stop him from making a show in Jackson, Mississippi. As he finally walked in, a bandmate laughed, “Look, Hurricane Munn finally blew into town!” The name has stuck ever since.
