Rohan Nijhawan is a 35-year-old Cambridge-born poet and activist. Born with a one-of-a-kind, unknown disease, Rohan has experienced the ups and downs in life. Although he has a disability, Rohan does not let that disability define him. He has been skydiving twice in California, mountain biking in Colorado, snorkeling in Jamaica, and most recently, meeting His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. He is a self-described life of the party, as many of his friends can attest to. Rohan gave his friends and family a challenge: describe his poetry in one word. Some of the words that came up were: revolutionary, smooth-truths, insightful, and introspective. Rohan tells a powerful story through his poetry and activism. His biggest influence in his poetry, and, for that matter, his life is The Legend himself, Robert Nesta Marley. Rohan just published his first book titled Tick Tock Tempestuous: Poems of Love, Death, Angst & Humanity in the fall of 2023.
