Living the Questions - Archetypal Tarot for Intentional Individuation
About this Event
The tarot’s true power lies not in allowing us to glimpse the future or soothe our anxieties, but in helping us actively participate in our own transformation. This interactive workshop invites participants to engage tarot as a reflective and contemplative practice for intentional individuation. Through guided exercises, discussion, spreads, and tarot-based inquiry, participants will explore how the cards can illuminate unconscious dynamics, support self-awareness, and foster a more conscious relationship with psyche through life’s challenges and opportunities.
Rather than seeking fixed answers or predictions, participants will learn how the tarot guides us to—as poet Rainer Maria Rilke put it—“live the questions”. It will provide them with practical techniques for using tarot as an ongoing companion on the path toward greater wholeness, purpose, and connection to the Self.
*Participants should bring a tarot deck (Rider-Waite-Smith based if possible), a journal, and a pen.

Welcome to Season 18 ~ Archetype
This season, our Friday evenings will have more audience engagement and participation. You will have the opportunity that evening to begin what we will dive into fully the next day, Saturday, in embodied, highly interactive exploration and practice- together! This season follows Jung's concept of archetype: a universal, inherited pattern of thought, image, and symbol that lives in the collective unconscious of all human beings. These deep mental blueprints shape how we feel, dream, and act, and they show up in myths and stories across every culture.
Consider investing in yourself each month this season. Give yourself an entire immersive, transformational experience with like-minded, like-hearted community. Renew your heart and soul. Dive and play with us, as Jung himself did, in the ether of soul and self. We will be weaving Jung's teachings deeply into our explorations.

About Our Presenter:
Mariana Louis, M.A. is a professional tarot counselor, scholar, and creator of Persephone's Sister, a platform for psycho-spiritual education and guidance. After stumbling upon Jung's The Undiscovered Self in her grandfather's attic library, Mariana entered into Jungian analysis and began her study of analytical psychology. This led her to pursue a degree in Western Intellectual Traditions at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she focused on archetypal perspectives in the transformation of Western thought. Marrying this scholarship with her expertise in the tarot, Mariana formulated the archetypal tarot approach, which she teaches globally in her Archetypal Tarot School and other programs. Mariana is the author of Tarot and the Psychology of the Soul: Exploring the Archetypal Mirrors of the Psyche as well as the co-host of the Soror Mystica Podcast exploring the great symbols of life. She has also lectured at various Jungian institutions such as the Jung Society of Austin and the online school, the Jung Archademy. Learn more about Mariana at: https://persephonessister.com/
