Living Plant Art | The Mash Greenwich
About this Event
PART ONE: KOKEDAMA - We’ll explore the beautiful Japanese-inspired art of Kokedama, wrapping a plant’s roots in soil and moss to create a unique, sculptural display.
PART TWO: MOUNTED PLANT- Using techniques and elements from the Kokedama portion, we’ll then create a Mounted Plant. Transform a plant into a stunning natural display by mounting it onto a piece of wood, creating a one-of-a-kind wall or tabletop feature.
This workshop includes:
-Two creations to take home: one Kokedama + one mounted plant
- Step-by-step instruction for creating and caring for both pieces
- A selection of epiphyte and tropical plants, including ferns, hoyas, peperomias & more.
- All supplies and tools provided to use at the workshop
⚠️ A FEW THINGS TO KNOW This is a 2-in-1 workshop for one participant. The workshop registration cannot be split between two people. Each participant will create both pieces from start to finish.
Come ready to get your hands dirty! There will be soil, moss, and plants involved, so we recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting a little messy in. Gloves are welcome if you prefer to wear them.
Plants, design and décor options will vary. The workshop is non-refundable but can be transferred to another person for this event.
