Have you experienced the profound tranquility of walking a labyrinth?
If not, you definitely want to check this out. I'm delighted to share one of my favorite places with you all! This astonishing garden not only holds beautiful blooms that different families sponsor, but it also holds a meditative walking labyrinth.
You can just feel the love and tender care throughout this garden gem.
Labyrinths have been used for centuries as a way to connect you to your "center" and to a higher power.
Labyrinths are different from mazes; you cannot get lost in a labyrinth. Though there are many twists and turns (like life), it will always bring you back to center (like transformation).
This is a very casual event, super simple, using the outer landscape to make our inner landscape become 'alive'.
Here we will all meet up at the gates of the labyrinth, then walk over to an open area by the labyrinth and get set up with blankets, or what have you, for comfort sitting on the grass.
I will pull one card and read the accompanying book, using the card to help guide intentional awareness and spark some Divine inspiration. We then head over to the labyrinth and silently walk through this garden. It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk through if you use the space intentionally. We then gather back by our blankets and journal about what came through. If we want to share what came up for us, we will hold space for that as well.
This is a public park, so I do not know how many people will be there at this time. Because I am planning on it before lunch, I suspect it won't be too busy. The most I have seen is 3 or 4 other people in the garden, which is still very spacious. In the years I have been coming here, it has never really been too busy!
I love this space so much and I am excited to share it with you all!
This is a free event. Donations are always welcome, but not necessary.
