This year, the BCHA is undertaking its largest project in decades: a complete review of our collections and archives. The temporary exhibit space inside the Sheriff’s Residence is being converted into a workspace for staff and volunteers to sift through tens of thousands of pieces of Berrien County’s past. Throughout the year, you have a chance to watch our staff in action as they work.This living lab, which is included in your admission to the museum, will give you a chance to see how museum professionals work to preserve history. From our oldest pieces to the newest acquisitions, you’ll have a chance to see our collections and archives in ways you never have before.
2025 is the History Center at Courthouse Square’s 50th museum anniversary! Join BCHA staff all year long as they celebrate the story of the museum and the history it houses.
