In 1750 Illinois Country, plants were more than just food; they were the source of medicine, cleaning, dying, clothes, building material and more! Come learn all about the different uses of plants with historical hands-on activities. During Living History Encounters, you may find cooks, seamstresses, voyageurs, soldiers or craftsmen sharing their talents in the Traders Cabin. This is a drop-in program; come anytime between noon and 3 p.m.

Age: All ages.

Depending on the weather, this program is offered indoors or outside.
Isle a la Cache Museum is an accessible facility; outdoor activities may take place on uneven terrain.
