🌿 Featuring Camille Darke - Shields
Join us for an inspiring evening with Camille "C-Child" Darke-Shields, an accomplished all-styles dancer, educator, and lifelong student of hip-hop culture.
Growing up, Camille had the rare opportunity to learn from legendary pioneers including Don Campbell, Popin' Pete, Suga Pop, and Mr. Wiggles. Throughout her career, she has performed alongside artists such as K-OS, Redman & Method Man, while dedicating more than 15 years to teaching dance in her hometown of Calgary and now on Campbell River.
In this engaging artist talk, Camille will share her journey through dance, the importance of mentorship, the roots of hip-hop culture, and how movement can become a powerful form of creativity, expression, and community.
Whether you're a dancer, artist, creative, or simply curious, this conversation offers a unique opportunity to hear from someone whose career bridges performance, education, and cultural history.
Following the talk, there will be time for audience questions and conversation.
