SUNY ESF Artist in Residence Anicka Chaffey will guide you through the power of drawing as a way to explore, learn, and see the world in new ways. No pressure—just creativity in action!

From Sketch to Shelf
Dive into an engaging author panel where talented creators share the behind-the-scenes journey of bringing comics to life—from first ideas to finished books. Then chat with the artists and authors, collect autographs, or simply chat about your favorite series.

The Great Draw-Off
Battle of the Panels
Feel the excitement build during a live drawing showdown between illustrators Lauren Stohler and Katie Risor. With audience prompts and plenty of surprises, you’ll watch creativity unfold in real time!

Drawing Your First Comic Adventure
Elementary school children will love this hands-on workshop where they will learn the basics of comic storytelling and create their very own masterpiece to take home.

Fiction to Fabric
Teens can join a unique workshop exploring how costume design brings characters to life. Guided by professional costumer Emily King, participants will gain hands-on experience in character interpretation, costume design, and visual storytelling.
