About this Event
Live Your Best Life Author/Speaker Series
Join us on Friday, August 14th featuring expressive writing teacher, Jennie Linthorst for an evening of poetry and inspiration. Through readings from her books, Jennie will explore how poetry can help us make sense of our lives, honor our experiences, and uncover the stories waiting to be told. Jennie’s healing poetry offers an intimate portrait of love, loss, and hope, tracing her journey through early parental loss, marriage, and raising a neurodiverse child.
Jennie Linthorst, MA, CAPF is a poet and founder of LifeSPEAKS Expressive Writing & Poetry Therapy, guiding individuals in exploring their personal histories through reading and writing poetry. She is the creator of the Poetry Toolbox for Classrooms, a social-emotional learning–based curriculum used nationally in grades 3–12, and serves on the faculty of Arts & Healing Initiative. She is the author of three books of poetry: Silver Girl, Autism Disrupted: A Mother’s Journey of Hope, and Steady On (forthcoming).
