Join us for an extended afternoon watercolor demonstration with Tom Herzberg.From 1 to 5 PM, Tom will be painting at the drafting table, talking through his process as he works, answering questions, and engaging naturally with those gathered around him.
This is not a formal lecture. It’s a working demonstration — interactive, conversational, and rooted in process. Stools will be placed around the table so you can observe closely as a painting evolves from first wash to final refinement.
Light refreshments will be served. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and creative — more studio visit than structured class.
Tom’s years teaching at the American Academy of Art left a lasting impression on many artists in the Chicago area. Gatherings like this offer an opportunity to continue learning, reconnect, and spend time focused on the work itself. We are honored to provide space for that.
Former students, practicing artists, collectors, and anyone curious about the watercolor process are warmly invited.
