Live@TheLibrary: "Book Club" and "Legacy"
About this Event
Book Club. by Philip Stiles.
Maddie and George are newbies in a suburban avenue in Manchester. They join a local book club in order to get to know their neighbours. It's their turn to host. The evening hobbles along a tad awkwardly when a stranger knocks at the door only to turn everything on its head. Think Madame Arcati comes to Abigail's Parry.
Legacy. by Patricia Cunningham.
That old chestnut - family feuds. Mattie, visually-impaired, is adamant that he will have nothing to do with his son Dominic who he believes has sold something very precious to him, a gift passed down from his father and now to Dominic. Dominic, a student, strives to make contact. Mattie's wife and Dominic's mother, Cathy, is sandwiched in the middle and tries to act as go-between. Things inevitably come to a head. Will peace and harmony return or is this the end of the father-son relationship?
Eyeline Theatre and Productions, a Community Interest Company works with experienced professionals and new and emerging actors and writers. We include mentoring and dramaturgy.
Our monthly writers' script R &D workshops are very popular and productive for both writers and actors who read the material.
During production rehearsals, we open up a short window to the public for one hour to those with an interest in the art of performance.
We are dedicated to the creative arts and strive to bring artists together to network in a relaxed and enjoyable medium.
