About the Speakers:

Abe Yacoubian is an experienced leader in building and executing revenue-generating partnerships for early and mature business lines for automotive, logistics, and transportation. Demonstrated history of driving large industry-changing software, cloud infrastructure, and hardware partnerships. He is currently a Vice President and head of N. America Corporate Development and Strategic Initiatives at Mercedes-Benz AG. Abraham Yacobian brings experience from previous roles at Mercedes-Benz AG, Instacart, TimeToPush, and Google.

Ludovic Copéré brings 18 years of experience in venture capital, new business creation, and strategic partnerships at Sony. Based in Silicon Valley as a core member of Sony Ventures since its inception, Ludovic leads startup scouting, due diligence, venture investment execution as well as portfolio management in many core investment focus areas such as web3, FinTech, Cybersecurity, Enterprise AI, FoodTech, AgTech and Environment. Ludovic was previously at Sony's global headquarters in Tokyo, where he ran strategic assessments, mid & long-term technology perspectives and financial valuations to foster Sony's Intellectual Property. Before that, he spent several years as Corporate Strategist in London, New York and Paris, spanning the entire spectrum of Sony's Electronics, Gaming, Content, Financial Services, Telecommunications & B2B activities.

Takashi Nishikawa was born in Osaka, Japan, and graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He joined Panasonic in 1992, and engaged in semiconductor technology development. Involved in innovation work in collaboration with ventures since 2006. He was the Conductive Ventures* Vice President since 2019. Currently working in Business Development under Panasonic R&D Company of America as a senior manager since 2024.

Kaori Nishibayashi is the first Silicon Valley representative of Mitsui Fudosan, Japan’s largest real estate company, where she drives innovation and fosters global partnerships. She has led transformative initiatives such as the Kashiwanoha Smart City project, forging collaborations with The University of Tokyo and the National Cancer Center to integrate advanced technologies into urban development.

As a visiting scholar at Stanford University (2022–2024), she focused on smart city ecosystems and entertainment technologies, contributing to the vision of transforming Tokyo Dome City into a borderless entertainment hub. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from Kyoto University.

Taro Nakamura received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Kobe University, followed by a master’s degree in Architecture from Kobe University’s Graduate School of Engineering. He joined Mitsui Fudosan and served as a project manager which overseeing the asset management of special purpose companies, which collectively held assets worth approx. $700 million, playing a role in the strategic enhancement of the company’s asset portfolio.

As a Senior manager, Taro also served at Mitsui Fudosan Shanghai Consulting and he led initiatives for purchasing land and negotiating co-investments, expanding the company’s presence in China. He was instrumental in the launch of Mitsui Fudosan’s shopping mall in China, Lalaport Shanghai Jinqiao.

Taro also worked in Mitsui Fudosan’s corporate planning division, and his role expanded to include leading internal innovation projects and technology-driven business strategies. He planned the company’s open-innovation alliance strategy with the CEO, and also negotiated terms and conditions for business alliances and financial investments with startups from various countries.
