Join us at Dallas Contemporary for a special reading by Dallas Poet Laureate Dr. Mag Gabbert, presented as part of Dallas Art Book Fair programming. In this intimate program, Gabbert will share selections from her acclaimed body of work, inviting audiences to experience her poetry live within the museum’s galleries.
Taking place March 21–22, 2026, DABF is free to the public and brings together regional, national, and international artists, presses, publishers, galleries, and bookstores for an immersive celebration of print culture.
Dallas Art Book Fair ‘26 is supported by the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and is supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. In collaboration with MCGS, Soft Spots Riso and Zeke's Projects.

ABOUT MAG GABBERT

Mag Gabbert’s debut poetry collection, SEX DEPRESSION ANIMALS, won the Charles B. Wheeler Prize and the Writer’s League of Texas Book Award in Poetry. She is also the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and a 92NY Discovery Award. Mag teaches at Southern Methodist University and serves as Poet Laureate of Dallas, Texas.
