Join us on June 27th from 7 PM - 9 PM for our live panel talks brought to you by the annual Vancouver International Youth Film Festival.
With our Host, Kevin Nguyen, a Vietnamese-Canadian actor from Vancouver, BC, and a graduate of Studio 58. He has worked with companies including Green Thumb Theatre and Pacific Theatre, and appeared in The Official Guidebook to Lying, which screened at the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival and Vancouver Asian Film Festival. Outside of acting, Kevin enjoys basketball, Magic: The Gathering, and developing creative projects.
Joining him on the panel are our lovely actors:
Kendyl Twa: a Canadian actress from Spruce Grove, Alberta, now based in Vancouver. After beginning in musical theatre, she moved to Vancouver to study Film and Television Acting at the Vancouver Film School. Kendyl has appeared in projects including The Billionaire’s Fake Wife, Oops, I Love You, and The Deal with Love, and continues to work across film and television.
Sophie Terry: Originally hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Sophie has lived in Vancouver, Los Angeles and now New York City. They have thoroughly enjoyed a career thus far filled with theatre, musicals, voiceover work, film and television projects as well as being an accomplished singer-songwriter. Known for being a quick-witted ball of energy, Sophie lights up the room with her Aussie banter and bright smile. She looks forward to adding more notches to her belt and venturing further into the industry.
Hannah Carman: an Australian actress, film producer, and singer working internationally across film, television, and digital media. She stars in the Diversity Pictures pilot Queens of the Desert (2025), which has received multiple festival awards, and led the musical short The Five Stages (2022), which screened internationally in Europe, North America, and Australia. She is also a co-producer on Bare, selected for Telefilm Canada’s Not Short on Talent program at the Cannes Film Festival’s Marché du Film (2026). Now based in Vancouver, Carman continues to develop and produce independent screen projects.
