LIVE MUSIC SPECIAL EVENT! The Burney Sisters

We are SUPER excited to have an opportunity to bring you the music of The Burney Sisters!! This power duo is on track to rise to the top because they are GREAT! They have been performing across the country, playing internationally, and have shared the stage with many big-name performers. They will WOW you!

This show is scheduled for Sunday, August 17th, from 3-6 pm to align with their tour schedule. DOORS AT 2 for a drink and a chat! If you've seen them before, you know you need to see them again, and if you haven't seen them, WE KNOW YOU NEED TO SEE THEM! We are popping up a magical afternoon of MUSIC in the Backroom Bar!

The Backroom Bar is a fabulous listening room with an occupancy of 56 people. All participants will have table or booth seating available. Tickets are available online and at the door, BUT WE WILL SELL OUT, so advance tickets are recommended. This is an all-ages show; the Bar will be open with many offerings for all. We do not serve food, but you can bring your dinner or snacks.

The Burney Sisters, comprised of sisters Emma and Bella Burney, create music with a maturity and emotional intelligence that belies their age. They write keen and knowing songs while arranging for multiple instruments and structuring unique and resonant harmonies. The result is personal and penetrating music that both connects with and captivates their listeners. Their soul-nurturing sibling harmonies and tunes are reminiscent of The Avett Brothers, First Aid Kit, Lake Street Dive, The Staves, and Joseph. Emma has established herself as not only a vocal powerhouse but also highly skilled with multiple instruments. Her first love was the guitar, but it was quickly followed by bass, fiddle, cello, piano, banjo, and anything she could get her hands on. She has recently added more of her original songs to the set and continues to be a major voice in arranging all of the songs the girls perform.

Bella, the youngest of the songwriting duo, adds not only her vocal talents, but also rounds out the girls' harmonic sound and rhythm on bass, as well as piano, guitar, and cajon. Bella has also started writing songs of her own, and adding them to the show as she and her sister breathe life into her creations.

Their journey has taken them to grand stages, intimate venues, and festival stages such as Blissfest, Shoe Fest, Shipyard, Moccasin Creek, Columbia's Roots N Blues, Ozark Amphitheater, and, most notably, the Cayamo Music Cruise (2023). They’ve shared billing alongside luminaries like Wynonna Judd, Brandi Carlile, Jo Dee Messina, Jeff Tweedy, Willie Nelson, The Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Larkin Poe, Del McCoury, and Sawyer Fredericks from ‘The Voice.’ Beyond the spotlight, the Burney Sisters have cultivated a strong bond with their fanbase through over 200 house concerts across the US and Canada.
