Transitioning from drumming in high school bands to songwriting, Koan explored audio production, releasing albums under the clever but hard to spell moniker ‘Nothingilistic’. Live performance became his focus after a promoter offered him a gig, drawing inspiration from performers like Chuck Berry. His music spans reggae, pop, rock, ska, and new wave, characterized by kinetic energy and diverse influences.
