Join us for a special live acoustic performance by Substrata recording artist Jean-Paul Saari! He will be playing songs from the new SAARI album, as well as songs that he wrote and produced for Fox-Glove Bell and 'be'.
Jean-Paul Saari is a veteran of the independent music scene, known for his bright, lyrical songs and warm, personal performances.
$10 entry fee (paid to the artist)
About the Artist:
Veteran of the Independent Music Scene, Jean-Paul Saari played acoustic folk in the cafés and clubs of the San Francisco Bay Area by night, while completing his degree at Berkeley.
With deep roots in the Upper Peninsula, his family left a treasured community in Wisconsin for California when Saari was 12. Quickly finding a place for his nascent songwriting in the Post-punk scene, he formed bands and played all of the major clubs before he was 17!
After Berkeley, Saari created more music, learned professional audio production, and worked with Grammy Award Winning vocalist Terri Nunn. He took the experience forward, forming the Fox-Glove Bell, releasing a great record, touring the West Coast, and ultimately building a midsize professional recording studio in California.
Jean-Paul Saari then returned home to form 'be', releasing its eponymous Ethereal Wave Dream Pop record.
With 'be' taking a break for family commitments, he then recorded and produced a self-titled record of Power Pop, Rock, and acoustic folk. He is now bringing his bright, lyrical music to
audiences in warm, personal performances with his acoustic guitar.
