From the backroads of South Austin comes Lorena. A new trio channeling the golden age of ’70s folk-rock and country through a modern Americana lens. With lush harmonies, intricate guitar work, and songwriting that feels both dusty and familiar, Lorena blurs the line between past and present.
Brendan Bell, Darion Ryan Roberts, and Jason Archer started writing songs together in the middle of 2025. They’ve all been friends for years, and based on their shared love of music, storytelling, and compelling songs, it was a no brainer to give it a go. They all love songs that connect with people whether they’re hopeful, sad, joyful, or anything else in between. Based in Wichita Falls, Texas, Hold Your Horses leans into their Folk/Americana/Country roots, drawing inspiration from all who have come before them.
