Experiential Offering: Calming Through the Senses

The Benefits of Sourdough Cultures + Loaf Artistry Experience
Host: SheDoughs
Info: Demo Description: Slow Bread, Strong Body
Discover why sourdough is more than a trend; it's a return to how bread was meant to be made. Julie will share her knowledge of the ways natural fermentation supports gut health, makes nutrients easier to absorb, and can be gentler on digestion than conventional bread -- all while tasting better.
Experiential Offering: Art of The Score Every score on a sourdough loaf is part function, part signature — a tradition dating back to communal village ovens, where your cut was how you claimed your bread. Julie will demonstrate the beautiful craft of bread scoring — the intentional cuts that are functional as well as beautiful, made just before baking that control how the loaf opens in the oven. You'll see how different slashes, angles, and patterns transform into the signature designs on a finished crust, from simple ears to intricate wheat stalks. Then, try it for yourself - score your own loaf pattern!
