The Girobabies:

'The Girobabies released their brand new album 'Dreams Are Mental' over the summer as a follow up to their self-produced and critically accclaimed 'Who Took Utopia?' where they use an indie/grunge, almost punk, backbeat to deliver pertinent political/social observations akin to the likes of the Sleaford Mods, The Streets & The Fall. Comparisons also have included the likes of Fontaines DC, Kneecap and The Beta Band.The Girobabies are a huge part of the thriving DIY scene in Glasgow , Scotland. They create their own brand of baffling ned punk with a pinch of psychedelic stardust and a hefty dollop of gutter-rock grit merging the solemn and the surreal with humour and fury.They are also a true festival band having played the likes of Boomtown, Bearded Theory, Kelburn Garden Party, Wickerman, Lindisfarne, Eden Festival and many more over the years including running their own small festivals and stages at larger ones across the UK.They launched their last album at a sold out Glasgow Barrowlands which gained them plays on 6 Music, a 9/10 rating on Louder Than War, and a live session on national television as well as having their music featured on Sky Sports Soccer A.M ' .
