Cool things are coming to the waterfront! ❄️🦈Watch a nurse shark take shape in ice during a live carving on our plaza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, December 29! This year’s sculpture honors Cirri, our resident nurse shark, and highlights our nurse shark research in the Dry Tortugas.
The massive piece will measure 16 ft. wide and 8 ft. tall, carved from 46 blocks of ice weighing nearly 14,000 lb. by sculptor Don Chapelle of Brilliant Ice Sculpture and his team.
We’re excited to be one of the stops on the free Boston Harbor Now New Year’s Eve Ice Sculpture Stroll on December 31 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
