Cool Cool Mountain is a 4-piece band that formed after an impromptu backyard house party performance. Alternative rock with a country flare and heart-felt vocals are some descriptions that come to mind. The band is currently recording their first album.
Kara Myree & Spencer Scholes
Both solo artists and performers as well as partners in life and music whose songs deliver uplifting themes of facing the myriad human challenges of life with sincerity, humor, passion, positivity, and love.
Spencer’s words and voice rising from the depths, transmuting difficulties like a passionate flame while Kara’s words and voice arrive clear and bright, a wave of light, the perfect balance and counter to the shadows.
Eric Lindquist is a singer-songwriter based in Louisville, Kentucky.
As a musician, he’s pure Americana, weaving a rich tapestry of sound that pulls elements from
classic rock, alt-country, bluegrass, folk, then layers it all with poignant lyrics about the struggle
of living, working, and making meaning in modern life.
His latest album is 2024’s Between the Earth and Sky, a title that points to the dissonance of
having your feet on the ground while heady possibilities beckon from above. The struggle is a
familiar one to Lindquist, as he had to chart his own winding artistic journey from the dashed
dreams of his early years to renewed ambition later in life—an arc that is mirrored in his
geographical roamings over the vast American landscape.
He was drawn to music as a teenager, forming bands in high school (and college), and hustling
to make the music dream happen. When it didn’t, he retreated into the predictable rhythms of a
9-5 and family life. Music, however, remained a constant in his life, For decades, he worked as a
bass player supporting other musicians, while writing a song or two on occasion. He played
music with Traveling Mercies in Salt Lake City, who did some regional touring and released
handful of records. When his nest emptied, freeing up time and creative space in his life, the
inspiration to write, record, and perform music came rushing back in—along with the grit to see
it through.
After moving back to California, Lindquist’s creative rebirth emerged on its own when he started
writing songs about what he knew: the people, places, and experiences of small town life in
Western New York. This resulted in his first solo album, A Place Called Home, released in 2019.
As for his voice, he went about building his confidence, and audience, through open mic nights.
Buoyed by the support of fellow musicians and music lovers, he developed the artistry and
mentality to go from supporting player to true stage performer.
Along with a move to the creative hub of Louisville, Kentucky, re-energized with the dreams of
his early days, these creative leaps culminated in 2024’s Between the Earth and Sky, ten songs
that explore the longing for home, the inevitable knocks of life, and the hope that emerges when
you pick yourself back up again. In “Another Day,” Lindquist laments the tension that can arise
when the demands of everyday life come into conflict with chasing your dreams. In "Blue
Bluegrass of Kentucky," he speaks to the allure of home when you've spent your life wandering.
And in “The Gray Falcon,” he turns a sign of age into a mark of distinction, while nodding to the
fact that even as a man grows older and wiser, “his work is never done.”
While the songs themselves are intimately relatable to anyone with deflated dreams or
ambitions gone to seed, the project’s very existence is, too. It stands as a testament to the truth
that dreams don’t ever truly die, they’re merely deferred and, if given the space and sunlight
they need, they bloom in their own good time.
