What a show we've got for you in December! Our show is headlined by none other than Ed Byrne. It's difficult to predict exactly where you'll know Ed from. It might be his regular appearances on Mock the Week (73 episodes!) his four guest appearances on Have I Got News For You, appearing on Would I Lie To You? and QI or his 4 appearances on Live at The Apollo (only a handful of comedians have appeared more often). It might even be the time Robert Downey Jr hit him int he face with a pie on The Graham Norton Show. Wherever you know him from, Ed is one of the most successful comedians around, having been at the top of the industry for the best part of 3 decades, and has performed eight sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and four sell-out UK tours.
As if that isn't enough, opening the show is the fantastic Paul Tonkinson. It's almost hard to believe but Paul has been at the top of the stand up comedy world for longer than Ed has been performing! He was winner of the 1992 Time Out New Act of the Year Award and was Time Out Stand Up Comic of the Year in 1997. He won the 2002 Jongleurs Best Comedy Performer award and remains one of the most sought after and respected comedians in the country and beyond - in fact he was the first comedian to perform in Iraq after the war there, when he entertained the UK Armed Forces. He is also remembered fondly as a host of the Bog Breakfast (remember that?!) and the Sunday Show.
