An elegant evening combining ambiance and flavor.
This year's theme is "Home Again". Both, intimate table settings for small groups to dine separately and harvest tables to gather with others will be set in comfortable and home-style placement. You are encouraged to let us know if you're interested in dining with friends separately. Family style.
Join us for an immersive connection of food, fire and fine arts under the evening sky here at Lynfield Gardens.
Award winning Chefs Bryant and Wendy Morton and team will craft a savory meal of open fire-roasted meats, vegetables, and fruits complimented with their top choice of locally created spices.
The mesmerizing flames, good company, live instrumentalists and fine arts exhibit, set the stage for an unforgettable gathering. Perfect for a night out.
Nathan McFarland and friends bring live music nostalgia to set the tone during the Art exhibit: Clover Honey and other creative artists. Art pieces will be available to purchase
THE MEAL descrbed by chef Wendy:
Appetizers :
Watermelon Feta bites: Fresh, Ripe Watermelon Cubes served cold with tangy Feta, salted Pistachio and hot honey.
Artisan breads, grilled fruit and cheese.
Sausage and Grits: cheese white grits topped with local raised sausage. Perfectly seasoned and finished with just the right amount of made from-scratch tomato gravy.
Main dish
16oz Boneless ribeye steak- we're choosing well marbled cuts, and marinating, seasoning and grilling them to medium, with the same process we use in steak competitions. Juicy inside, nicely seared on the outside for a perfect bite. Topped with our signature award-winning herb/cranberry chimichurri, made fresh.
Smashed red potatoes cooked so they're crispy on the bottom and soft on top. Loaded with herbs, butter and topped with several cheeses.
Elote corn on the cob. Parboiled local (Ayers Family Farm) sweet corn, finished on the grill for a little char. Smothered in tangy elote sauce and cojita cheese.... You will never want to eat corn on the cob any other way again!
BUTTERMILK BISCUITS, with creamed cinnamon honey from Cook Family Fatm in Wartrace and grass fed butter.
FINALLY...
Peach Cobbler: individuall baked in half-pint Mason jars with a scoop of locally perfected vanilla ice-cream from "Joe Dean's Eats and Treats" Double LL Farm in Normandy.
Red and White Wine. Peach Masala Chai cordial, Blackberry Sangria
Sweat Tea, Water
Accolades: Barking Pig has been competing successfully in KCBS, SCA, and MBN competitions since 2018, including numerous World Championships and several Food Network World Food Championship contests. In the past few years, members of the team cooking for you tonight have won numerous Top Ten awards in chicken wings, ribs, steak, and ancillary contests. Bryant won 11th place in the Steak World Championship this year among hundreds of steak cooks, and Wendy was named 7th in the World in SCA Ancillary points for 2025.
