Live at The Tuppenny - Chris Murphy + Barney Kenny

Chris Murphy has, quite rightly, become a bit of a draw for Tuppenny gig-going regulars, not just a mesmerising violinist and virtuoso musician but a brilliant storyteller and between-song wit too.
Chris Murphy draws influence from almost every genre and culture, and using looping pedals, he samples himself in real time to create everything from gorgeous ambient soundscapes to upbeat folk rock sing-alongs, and everything in between. Blending masterful storytelling with Irish folk, jazz, baroque, and country, and weaving it into a sound unmistakably American and uniquely his own.
Support and collaboration comes from Barney Kenny, guitarist extraoridinare.
As separate acts, they are impressive, as a duo, they have become legendary.
Free admission but please do bring cash for the artist hat. We start from 8.30pm
