Jon Langford and Sally Timms are best known for their extensive careers in the Mekons, one of the longest-running and most prolific of the first-wave British punk rock bands. Celebrated for their exuberant live performances, the Mekons have evolved over time to include country, folk, alt rock, and other influences. Langford has founded and played in multiple other bands including the Waco Brothers, Pine Valley Cosmonauts, and The
Three Johns. He’s also a prolific and well-respected visual artist whose punk rock instincts emerge in a painting style that’s distinctive and engaging. Langford and Timms frequently perform songs from the Mekons catalog along with music from their respective solo careers and covers of other renowned artists.
