More About Khani Cole

Khani Cole is an acclaimed singer-songwriter whose soulful blend of jazz, contemporary, and R&B influences has earned her recognition on both national and international stages. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Cole later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where she further developed her distinctive sound and artistic career.

Her move to Arizona inspired the release of her debut recording, Piece of My Soul, released on Fahrenheit Records. The album featured acclaimed musicians including bassist Brian Bromberg, organist Joey DeFrancesco, and saxophonist Marc Russo. Her sophomore release, Places, was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Michael Broening and further showcased Cole’s refined artistry and vocal depth.

Cole’s interpretation of the classic “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” featuring saxophonist Nelson Rangell became a Top 30 hit on NAC radio, helping solidify her presence in the contemporary jazz world. She has appeared at prestigious festivals, including the Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival hosted by Art Good, where she shared the stage with renowned saxophonist Marion Meadows.

Her third album, Lifetime, released through Expansion Records, was produced by veteran New York writers and producers Chris Parks and Vivian Sessoms. The project gained international recognition, charting across European radio markets and building on the momentum of her earlier releases.

Beyond recording, Cole has built a respected live performance career. She performed for over a decade at the renowned Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Arizona before later opening her own Scottsdale music venue, Voce Lounge. The venue became known for showcasing premier regional and international talent and contributed to the area’s vibrant live music culture.

Throughout her career, Cole has shared the stage with celebrated artists including George Benson, Grover Washington Jr., and Joe Sample. Career highlights include a duo performance with George Benson at the Hollywood Bowl during the Playboy Jazz Festival.

Cole has performed at respected venues across the country, including Blues Alley in Washington, D.C., Middle C Jazz in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Milwaukee’s Skylight Theater. She remains an active presence in Arizona’s live music scene, including performances at the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix and venues throughout the Valley.

Her most recent release, A Collection, is a career-spanning compilation that highlights the breadth of her musical journey. Currently, Cole is developing new material, continuing to create with intention, authenticity, and a deep connection to her audience.
