Artist bios:
Liv Marlton, a multi-instrumentalist based on the Gold Coast, is jumping headfirst into her singer-songwriter and composition career. With a diverse musical background, her music feels both familiar and unique. On her records, you’ll hear her playing the guitar, sax and cello, and playing with modal tunings and jazz harmony. All of this couples with an honest, vulnerable lyric style akin to modern folk and indie pop artists. She possesses a unique voice, highly expressive and intimate. Amongst the turbulence of youth, Liv has found her own voice, and seeks to share moments from her story to connect to our shared existence.
Chelle’s music lives in the reverent world of neo soul. Her music amplifies tales of a commonly blazed path for queer folk - a lifelong journey from shame to freedom. Drenched in soul, her music is catharsis. Her performances narrate themes of overcoming displacement, dissociation and chronic illness; the enduring effects of childhood immigration and a strict religious cultural background. Usually joined by her seven-piece band, Chelle soars high solo, offering more intimate iterations of her sonic introspections.
Georgie Taylor is a vibrant singer-songwriter who fuses indie, folk, soul and pop to create music that nourishes the soul, heart and mind all at once. Inspired by artists like Sammy Rae and the Friends, Joni Mitchell, Missy Higgins and Lizzy McAlpine, the Meanjin-based artist is known for captivating audiences with her honey-like vocal tone, infectious melodies and electric live performances. Her lyricism artfully weaves deep vulnerability with light-hearted wit, offering an authentic storytelling style that resonates with optimists and deep-feelers alike.
Georgie uses songwriting as a therapeutic tool to navigate the messy, process the painful, and celebrate the beautiful in life & love - often beginning in uncertainty before emerging with newfound wisdom and self-acceptance. Through this journey of introspection, Georgie transforms her personal experiences and discoveries into richly relatable songs that explore themes of self-love, queer joy, patriarchy, relationships and the absolute chaos of life in your twenties
