Welcome to the LiU Game Awards 2024 – an afternoon where the future game developers step into the spotlight at East Sweden Game! This student competition in game development brings together talent from the Game Programming course (TDDD23) and is an excellent opportunity to network and discuss jobs and thesis projects within the gaming industry.Afternoon program:
- Welcome greeting
- Overview of the nominated entries
- Announcement of the winners – award ceremony!
- Presentation of the special HiQ Award
- Guest lecture: "From demo to success", with Sam Blomqvist, founder and CEO of Beartwigs
After the awards, there will be mingling and game testing of the finalists' games, and we'll continue until we're tired of playing and talking game development.
The prestigious first prize is a grant of 10,000 SEK, to be used for completing and launching the winning game.
The top three finalists will each choose a gaming console, sponsored by Pugstorm and Core Keeper (THANKS!). All finalists will also receive free advice from East Sweden Game and a complimentary spot in the ESG co-workingspace.
