Join us for a fun-filled morning of play, creativity, and connection by the beach! Little Waves Playgroup is a Council approved beachside art class with a welcoming space where babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grown-ups can explore, create, and make new friends in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Each session is hosted by experienced local artist Renée Johnston and includes nature-inspired arts and crafts, sensory play, stories, movement, and plenty of free play, all designed to encourage curiosity, imagination, and confidence while enjoying the beauty of the coast.
Whether you’re new to the area or looking to connect with other local families, Little Waves Playgroup is the perfect place to build friendships and create special memories together.
🎨 What’s Happening?
Weekly creative art classes right by the beach at Raby Bay Foreshore Park Beaches, Masthead Drive Cleveland.
Fun, hands-on activities like sand painting, seashell collages, and beach-themed projects.
Parent participation encouraged—play, create, and bond with your toddler while having fun in the sand!
🌞 Why You’ll Love It:
- Build your toddler’s creativity and motor skills.
- Spend quality outdoor time in a beautiful beach setting.
- No experience needed—just bring your toddler and your imagination!
📅 Class Schedule:
Monday & Wednesday mornings from 9am to 10am.
*Pending Renee's availability and weather permitting. We are currently having a winter break for the months of June and July. All sessions resume from the first week of August.
*Alternate days & group bookings welcome. Please contact Renee with your preferred day and time. (min 5x students).
🎨 Community Beach Art classes are also available on Friday mornings from 9am to 10am for all ages and abilities if you would like to also join in this day.
🎟️ Cost?
- Babies under 12 months old are FREE.
- 1 to 5 year olds are $15 each. Includes all art materials and sand toys, books and more to play with.
🫧 📖 FREE art scrapbook and bubble wand for all new students.
Payment made on the day via cash (preferred) or Pay Id at the start of each session.
🌴 Where: Raby Bay Foreshore Beach, Masthead Drive, Cleveland QLD, 4163. Renee will be located with her blue art wagon at the first beach under the shady trees.
🧢 What to Bring: Beach towel, hat, morning tea (optional) and water bottle.
