In the near future, the government provides elderly people with robots to keep them company. Jos Bennett hasn’t left his home in months. He finds the world alienating and intimidating. When his robot arrives, Jos is excited to finally have someone to talk to. But he gradually realises the new technology comes at a price he might not be willing to pay.
The play is written and directed by Eamonn Colfer, whose most recent production, The Mercy Seat, had a successful run at the Arts Centre. Little Victories features Tony Brennan, who has been a member of the Wexford Drama Group and Light Opera Society for twenty-five years, during which time he’s played many roles and won various awards. He’s supported by Eoghan Kirby, who attended Olga Conway’s Discovering Drama and performed extensively with Buí Bolg, as well as featuring in The Mercy Seat.
