About this Event
Little Singers is a Kodály-based artistic programme that trains and develops cognitive, musical and kinaesthetic ability in young children.
This programme transcends fun in music-making, and develops musical young singers that are sensitive to sound, rhythm and other fundamental musical elements. It also equips them with key foundation skills that will not only aid their singing, but their thought process and creativity.
Little Singers is a unique programme that grooms the young musician and creates unforgettable memories through song.
There are 2 types of classes:
- Little Singers Parent-Accompanied for those aged 3 - 5 years old
- Little Singers Independent for those aged 5 - 7 years old

Little Singers (Parent-Accompanied)
This is an interactive class for children ages 3-5 and their parents. It seeks to foster parent-child bonds through music-making and gives parents the chance to journey with their child as they begin their music learning experience.
Time: Every Saturday, 10:00 –10:40am

Little Singers (Independent)
This is a unique programme for younger children (aged 5-7) that trains the participant musically, kinaesthetically, socially as well as cognitively. It is designed to help build up your child's independence and inspire their creative-thinking processes through music-making. This programme is ideal for children who are not ready to join the VOSCC.
Time: Every Saturday, 2–2:45pm

About the Lead Instructor:
Nicholas Tham (b. 1982) is a Singaporean music educator, choral enthusiast, conductor, vocologist and composer. Tham graduated from the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Budapest with a M.A. in Kodály Music Pedagogy in 2017. In 2024, he completed his D.M.A in Choral Music from the University of Southern California. His field work includes choral music, music teaching and learning, vocology and composition. He is also currently adjunct lecturer at the National Institute of Early Childhood Development.
